Thomas White

The Bleeding Hearts Club was experimenting with themes and challenges. Thomas would appear through a portal and deliver his music with thorough understanding. I liked how he would often miss the context of his experience in the room but would deliver a fitting performance. There was a time I thought all musicians were this instinctive.

The album is a single take moment. Mixed on the spot. No possibility of change. An album that was criticised for sounding like a demo, as if there were production rules that had to be followed. If you can’t find beauty in these recordings don’t go blaming me when your girlfriends scarf blows into a puddle.
